The International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) joins the TransJustice Initiative of the Audre Lorde Project (The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two-Spirit, Trans and Gender Non-Conforming People of Color Center for Community Organizing) to observe June 22, 2007 as the 3rd Annual Trans Day of Action for Social & Economic Justice in New York City.

Conferences and Meetings Indie-Queer Festival Announces Dates, Seeks to Diversify Performance Roster and Organization

April 2, 2007 -- Building on the anticipated energy and volume of the United States Social Forum (USSF), and designed to complement the progressive workshops and forums of the USSF, MondoHomo Dirty South is proud to announce the dates of their inaugural festival. MondoHomo Dirty South is slated for June 27 through July 1, 2007 in Atlanta, GA at multiple in-town venues.

According to festival Organizer Kiki Carr, "MondoHomo promises to be the most OUTRAGEOUS Queer gathering ever to take over Atlanta!"

Hart, Michigan ? Seeking to correct misinformation widely distributed by "Camp Trans" organizers, Michigan Womyn?s Music Festival founder and producer Lisa Vogel released the following clarification:

"Since 1976, the Michigan Womyn?s Music Festival has been created by and for womyn-born womyn, that is, womyn who were born as and have lived their entire life experience as womyn. Despite claims to the contrary by Camp Trans organizers, the Festival remains a rare and precious space intended for womyn-born womyn."

One of the great things about Lake Erie Gala is you can improvise! For our early arrivals, Gala Registration will open from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Two spas are located near by along with lots of trans-friendly shopping. Gala Management Team members will be in the hotel lounge at 6:00 PM for cocktails. Dinner at a local restaurant and evening clubbing are not included in any Gala package.
